How the day ran.

How the day ran, from the ceremony to the last song.

  1. 4:00: ceremony and cocktail hourA mariachi band played the ceremony and cocktail hour. I ran the mics, then set the reception and cued the introductions.
  2. 5:30: introductionsBoth sets of parents, the wedding party in pairs, then the couple, each on their own song. I announced in English and the Spanish announcements came right after.
  3. First dance, then the blessingThe first dance went straight into the couple's welcome and a blessing, then a photo dash to every table before dinner.
  4. Dinner and toastsMusic low through dinner, then three toasts and the bouquet toss.
  5. 7:15: parent dancesA father-daughter dance in Spanish and a mother-son dance, with the moms and sons invited onto the floor halfway through.
  6. 7:30–10:00: dance partyThe couple's requests: Bachata, Cumbia, Selena and Reggaeton next to Hip-Hop, R&B and throwbacks.

Gazebo or indoors

Larimar has a gazebo for ceremonies, a heated wraparound porch and a stone patio with a fire pit. Ceremony sound comes with Premier and Ultimate.

Languages

Both families

Announcements in English, Spanish or Portuguese, and a mix of Reggaeton, Bachata and Latin next to the R&B, Top 40 and classics. How I do bilingual weddings.
